Respect confidentiality.All of a patient’s records must be kept confidential and can only be viewed by individuals who have been named in the consent form. Patients must sign a HIPPA form that protects their medical information from being distributed to third parties. They are asked to list the names of individuals who have will have access to their medical records.

Follow the Hippocratic Oath.Always follow the Hippocratic Oath and administer treatment that is in the best interest of the patient. A physician’s oath binds them to providing the best care possible without harming the patient in any way.

Complete disclosure is a must. A physician must be completely honest with their patient and disclose all findings pertinent to their individual health and treatment plans.
